Job Summary:
Estimators analyze requests for proposals and bid documents and prepare cost estimates and proposals. They work closely with operations personnel as well as many other professionals including owners, consultants, contractors, accountants, strategic partners, etc. to provide the most accurate and comprehensive financial and budget analysis possible.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Analyzing required documents, including drawings, specifications, addenda, and project schedules to gain a thorough understanding of the project.
· Determine allowable cost-effective means and methods to execute projects within budgets.
· Creating and submitting requests for information.
· Understand and apply the electrical code to estimates.
· Review quarterly bid metrics with the Chief Estimator. Set goals to increase efficiencies regarding bid metrics.
· Determining what factors of production will influence the cost of a service or product.
· Preparing detailed material estimates and cost estimates for projects, products, or services.
· Create detailed labor estimates for any project.
· Developing and maintaining relationships with company partners, vendors, and contractors.
· Managing and analyzing bids from vendors and contractors.
· Use bid data to prepare a detailed cost analysis.
· Presenting prepared estimates to management and other stakeholders.
· Update opportunities in sales software platform.
· Preparing and submitting proposals.
· Analyzing historical cost data.
· Attending and representing the company in all meetings and interactions with clients.
· Negotiate final contract with clients.
· All other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:
· Degree in related field, or equivalent professional experience required.
· 6 years minimum industry experience required.
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working at a computer.
· Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds at times.
· Able to navigate various jobsite settings.
· Must be able to work occasional afterhours or weekends.
