(Travel required).Hours: 37.5 per week, MondayFriday (site-based role with flexibility required)Salary: £48,000 - £55,000 per annumRole OverviewWe are seeking an Electrical Commissioning Engineer to support the testing and commissioning of electrical systems across power stations, wind farms, and BESS projects.This is a hands-on role covering installation, commissioning, and handover, ensuring systems are safely energised, tested, and compliant.Key ResponsibilitiesCommissioning, testing, and fault finding on LV/MV/HV systemsInterpret schematics and technical drawingsCommission control systems, panels, and protection devicesSupport renewable energy projects (wind, BESS)Pre-commissioning checks, testing, and verificationEnsure H&S and regulatory complianceProduce test records and handover documentationLiaise with customers, project teams, and subcontractorsSupport FAT/SAT activitiesRepresent the business on siteEssential RequirementsQualificationsNVQ Level 3 / HNC / HND in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)Electrical apprenticeship or relevant trainingFull UK driving licenceExperienceElectrical or Commissioning Engineer backgroundIndustrial, power, or renewable experienceControl panels, switchgear, protection systemsSite-based commissioning experienceSkillsStrong health & safety awarenessGood communication skillsAbility to work independently and in teamsWillingness to travel and stay awayDesirableHV Authorised / SAP statusOffshore tickets (GWO, BOSIET, HUET)18th EditionWind, power, or BESS experienceSCADA/control systems knowledgeCore CompetenciesCommissioning & testingFault findingTechnical documentationHealth & safetyTeamwork & communicationPlanning & deliveryTPBN1_UKTJ
