Job Description:
We are looking for a candidate to work full-time and perform assembly and testing of electronic-mechanical parts for a commercial aviation company in the south Seattle area.
Core Responsibilities:
- Test and repair aircraft components in accordance with company provided data (manuals, drawings, procedures, etc.) and company provided training.
- Correctly, concisely, and legibly fill out all company forms and reports as required by management (both written and online).
- Work with co-workers to achieve goals and objectives set by management.
- Work with management to develop new processes and procedures as necessary.
- Assist in basic shop upkeep and maintenance including routine cleaning of the technician’s work area and periodic shop maintenance assignments.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with internal and external representatives, including management, customer reps, FAA inspectors, airline inspectors and similar (training provided).
- All other duties as assigned.
Experience, skills, and physical requirements
- • Experience using a variety of hand tools and electrical meters (requiring manual dexterity).
- • Mechanical aptitude and basic electrical knowledge a plus.
- • Familiarity and understanding of ANSI/IPC-A-610B or equivalent.
- • Basic Computer Skills including MSFT Office, Word and Excel proficiency.
- • Ability to perform basic algebraic calculations.
- • Able to read, analyze and interpret technical documents like; engineering drawings/schematics, specifications, and work instructions.
- • Good verbal and listening skills.
- • Ability to handle multiple priorities and maintain attention to detail.
- • Previous exposure to manufacturing in an aerospace environment is
- • Good manual dexterity and hand/eye coordination
- • Ability to sit long periods of time while performing work.
- • May require performing visually detailed close-up work.
- • Pre-employment job skills testing may be required.
Education:
- Requires a High School Education or GED Equivalent, prefer skilled trade classes, certification, or higher learning in electromechanical field.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Hourly position commensurate with experience and skills.
