Job DescriptionKelly Services is seeking an experienced Electro-Mechanical Assembler in Lockport, IL. Candidates must have experience with fine pitch soldering.

\nThis is a contract to hire opportunity, meaning you will get hired directly after 3-4 months, depending on your performance and attendance.

\n$18/hr. – $22/hr., based on experience
\n1st Shift: 6am – 3pm or 7am – 4pm

\nJob Summary:
\nPerforms a variety of electronic and mechanical subassembly and assembly operations of a repetitive nature to build up units such as box builds, cable harnesses, and general electronic/mechanical assemblies.
\n
\n
\nWhat You’ll Do:
\nPerform basic and/or advanced, standardized, and repetitive electro-mechanical assembly.
\nPerform Wire/Cable/Harness assembly.
\nInspect Mechanical assemblies/Chassis/Cables/Harnesses for defects
\nMay perform routine tasks in preparation for assembly such as cutting wire, stripping, wiring, and fastening connections.
\nOther production activities as required.
\n
\nWhat You’ll Need:
\nHigh school diploma, GED, and/or technical diploma and 3+ years’ equivalent assembly experience and/or military technical training.
\nMust be able to read and understand work instructions, schematics, bills of material, diagrams, and engineering change orders.
\nAbility to do repetitive operations.
\nAbility to use a PC for basic operation (Word, Excel, etc.)
\nExcellent eye-hand coordination.
\nExcellent manual dexterity.
\nAccurate and detail-oriented.
\nMust be mechanically inclined and able to use hand tools and small power tools.
\nAbility to regularly lift and carry up to 40 lbs.; ability to stand for long periods.
\nMust be a conscientious and cooperative team player
\nMust be well organized and able to multi-task
\nMust demonstrate willingness to work overtime as needed (occasional)
\nAbility to solder and/or rework fine pitch SMT parts under magnification
\n
