Job DescriptionJob Description
We are looking for an experienced Technician to work as part of our Electrical assembly team, splitting time between running induction tests in our lab and performing electrical assembly work in our manufacturing department.
An ideal candidate must be good with their hands in addition to Electrically & mechanically inclined.
Primary Responsibilities
• Assembly of electrical components, subassemblies and final assemblies using bolts, soldering equipment
(wire cutting, stripping, and crimping)
• Adjust, repair, or replace electrical/electronic component parts to correct defects and ensure conformance to
specifications
• Running testing procedures using lab equipment
• Creating testing fixtures for electrical experiments.
• Creating Process Documentation.
• Connection of wires/wire harnesses; prep and attachment of subassemblies
• Application of fasteners, decals/weather stripping
• Measuring/marking/cutting/drilling/tapping
• Use of hoists, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, power tools and hand tools
• Inspect or test wiring installations, assemblies, and circuits for quality assurance
• Participation in training sessions
• Assist in training of coworkers
• Other duties as directed
Qualifications
• Experience in wiring and/or hi-pot stations
• Experience working with and measuring live voltages.
• Experience in electrical department and/or equivalent electrical assembly experience at another company
• Basic Mechanical aptitude; able to read measuring devices (rulers, tape measures, squares, levels, verniers and
formulas)
• Basic Math Skill
• Knowledge of hand tools
• Read and comprehend mechanical/electrical diagrams/prints/schematic drawings, work orders or reports to
determine materials requirements or assembly instructions
• Electrical/Electrical Assembly experience
• Basic computer skills
Essential Physical Requirements
• Ability to lift 40 pounds
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks involving long periods of standing/sitting, safe use of power tools.
• Must make us aware of any surgical implants, pins, braces or other devices that could be affected by induction fields.
