Electrical Assembler in Houston

DURATION: LONG TERM (12+ MONTHS)
HOURS: 60+ Per week
PAY: $20-$25/HR
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Assemble all electrical components as needed. This role is in a fabrication/Manufacturing setting.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Perform manual processes to complete mechanical and electrical assemblies and sub-assemblies, using hand, electric and pneumatic tooling.
* Reports defective material or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
* Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
* Complete tasks as directed by manufacturing schedule with minimum supervision
* Other duties as directed by supervisor.
JOB SKILLS
* Ability to establish methods and procedures
* Familiarity with assembly and measuring tools, interpretation of visual aids and ability to perform simple shop math.
* Good command of the English , both written and verbal is required.
* Competency in reading and interpreting engineered drawings, schematics or other technical documents.
EDUCATION & TRAINING:
* High school diploma
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
* 2 years of experience
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
* Work performed in a shop environment.
* May work at different workstations as production needs require, or shifts from one station to another, during the assembly process.
* Physical effort equal to frequent moving of up to 50lbs materials.
* Regularly required to sit or stand, bend and reach.
* The use of Safety Glasses is required.
* Ability to stand up to 10 hours a day (with a lunch in between) and up to 6 days a week.
* Ability to work in a non-air-conditioned environment.
* Steel-toe boots required in Manufacturing Facility
