Electrical & Mechanical Assembler
Location: Houston, TX
1st shifts - 6am - 4:30pm, (Mon - Sat)
2nd shifts - 5:30pm - 4am, (Mon - Sat) w/ differential.
Work Environment: Non-temperature-controlled, Non-Smoking Facility
Position Overview
We are seeking experienced Electrical and Mechanical Assemblers to join a leading manufacturing team in Houston. This role involves assembling large industrial packaged equipment, performing conduit and wiring work, and assisting with mechanical fabrication. Candidates must work well independently with minimal supervision and thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Job Duties:
Electrical Assembly
- Perform conduit wiring and support fabrication
- Pull wire and install basic electrical commodity components
- Complete LV (Low Voltage) and MV (Medium Voltage) wiring and terminations
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and engineered drawings
- Assemble electrical components according to safety and quality standards
Mechanical Assembly
- Manually assemble large, industrial-sized packaged equipment
- Use hand tools, pneumatic tools, and electronic tools for sub-assembly work
- Read and interpret technical documents, drawings, and schematics
- Perform simple shop math and use measuring/assembly tools
- Work with instrumentation, tubing, valves, and mechanical fasteners
Requirements
Electrical Requirements
- 2–5 years of demonstrated electrical assembly experience
- Ability to identify and install basic electrical components
- Experience with conduit wiring, wire pulling, and LV/MV terminations
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
Mechanical Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of assembly experience in a manufacturing shop environment
- Experience assembling large industrial or mechanical equipment
- Proficiency with hand tools, pneumatic tools, and measuring tools
- Ability to read and interpret engineered drawings and technical documents
- Familiarity with instrumentation, tubing, valves, and mechanical fasteners
