Electrical Administrator (Compliance Team) with Croydon Council\n\nContract Details:\n\nType: Temporary until March 2026\nPay: £18.92 per hour (PAYE) / £25.03 per hour UMB\nLocation: Croydon\nHours: Full time, 36 hours per week (Monday to Friday)This post sits within Croydon Council's Compliance Team, which ensures that all housing stock meets statutory safety standards within the Electrical Team, carrying out the following tasks:\n\nSupports delivery of the electrical compliance programme\nTracks Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs)\nMonitors contractor performance and ensures certificates are logged\nSupports access arrangements, re-inspections, and scheduling of remedial works\nEnsures accurate recording on compliance systems and updates to asset dataRole Overview:\n\nThe Business Support Officer will provide high-quality administrative and business support to the Compliance Team. You will ensure the accurate management of data, maintain strong customer service standards, and assist in the coordination of safety compliance activities including gas, electrical, asbestos, water hygiene, and lifts.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nProvide routine business and administrative support to the Compliance Team.\nAccurately record and manage performance and compliance data.\nCommunicate effectively with , contractors, and internal departments.\nPrepare and process standard documentation, correspondence, and reports.\nCoordinate meetings and assist in the organisation of internal and external events.\nManage financial administration including expenditure requests and invoices.\nSupport business intelligence and performance reporting activities.\nEnsure compliance with data protection, confidentiality, and council policies.\nContribute to service improvement and the effective delivery of business support services.Skills and Experience Required:\n\nPrevious experience in an administrative or business support role.\nStrong communication and organisational skills.\nAbility to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.\nExcellent IT skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office and data management systems.\nAttention to detail and accuracy in handling information.\nAbility to provide a customer-focused service and handle enquiries professionally.\nKnowledge of local government or compliance environments (desirable).Apply Now:\n\nIf you have the skills and experience required for this role, we encourage you to apply.
