Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Environmental Specialist to join our team. The Environmental Specialist will play a crucial role in assisting clients with environmental compliance sustainability initiatives, and the development of effective environmental management strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental science, regulations, and consulting, along with excellent problem-solving and communications skills.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct environmental assessments and audits to identify potential risks and compliance issues.
  • Provide expertise on local, state, and federal environmental regulations to ensure client compliance.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop and implement sustainable environmental management practices.
  • Conduct site inspections and fieldwork to gather environmental data and assess potential environmental impacts.
  • Prepare comprehensive environmental reports, including findings, recommendations, and compliance documentation.
  • Assist clients in obtaining necessary permits and approvals for environmental projects.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging environmental issues, and regulatory changes.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to clients and internal staff on environmental best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate environmental considerations into project planning and execution.
  • Participate in business development activities, including proposal writing and client presentations.

Job Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty proficiently.   • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
  • In-depth knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Experience with environmental assessment tools and software.
  • Professional certifications are a plus
  • Ability to travel to clients sites as needed.
