About the Role
A leading international construction and engineering contractor is seeking an Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Advisor to support major data centre construction projects in Belgium.
Working closely with Project Managers and the wider EHS team, you’ll play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, responsibly, and in full compliance with statutory requirements. You’ll be hands-on across site activities, helping to embed a proactive safety culture while supporting high standards of environmental and occupational safety performance.
This is an excellent opportunity for an EHS professional looking to develop their experience within mission-critical, fast-paced construction environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation of the company’s EHS policies to prevent injury, ill health, environmental harm, and damage
  • Promote a proactive safety culture across construction sites
  • Ensure compliance with local and statutory EHS requirements
  • Carry out regular site safety inspections, audits, and reporting
  • Track and ensure close‑out of corrective actions within agreed timescales
  • Support accident and incident investigations, including reporting and follow-up actions
  • Ensure all site operatives and subcontractors receive appropriate inductions
  • Monitor welfare facilities, site setup, and statutory notice displays
  • Review risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) for suitability
  • Ensure permit-to-work systems are correctly implemented
  • Monitor COSHH compliance and environmental protection measures


Key Requirements

  • Relevant qualification in Health & Safety, Environmental Management, or a related discipline
  • NEBOSH Certificate (or equivalent)
  • Proven EHS experience within construction environments
  • Knowledge of statutory health, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Experience conducting site inspections, audits, and investigations
  • Confident working with project teams and site management
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work across live, fast-track construction sites
