Position Title: EDS CAD Design Engineer \n\nDuration: Contract \n\nLocation: Woking, Surrey \n\nOUTSIDE IR35/Hybrid 3 days onsite.\n\n*Applicants MUST have proof of immediate, on-going and valid eligibility to work full time in the UK and travel within the EU.*\n\nAbout the company\n\nI am currently recruiting on behalf of a Luxury Automotive OEM, based in Whitley, who are seeking a EDS CAD Design Engineer to join their team\n\nEssential Criteria:\n\nTo support the Electrical Systems department with electrical wiring harness design.\nProven experience 3-5 years as EDS Design Engineer for an OEM or Tier1 supplier\nFamiliar with Wiring harness design, change management process, DFM, vehicle assembly process, 2D Drawings and vehicle electrical architecture\nAbility in troubleshooting, issues resolution, documentation and customer communication\nReceive and analyse customer data, requirements and progress with 3D design proposals\nEstablish best WH routing and minimise quality risks\nWork with Project engineers and systems to complete full vehicle electrical wiring harness design\nSupport digital and physical Design reviews, raise concerns and support issues resolution\nLead 3D design freeze and gateway releases\nComplete all relevant documentation and reports \n\n Nice to Have Criteria:\n\nPrevious Client experience \n\nWhy work through Contechs?\n\nContechs is a leading Automotive, Design, Engineering, Technology and Innovation Recruitment Consultancy.
