Mech Tech Professionals have a full-time opportunity available for an EC&I Maintenance Technician to be based at an Energy from Waste facility based in Kent.

Our client, a prestigious waste and resource management firm, require a competent professional to start as soon as possible or upon availability.

Working Hours: 40hrs per week (Monday to Friday) – Overtime available as and when required

Overview:

As an EC&I Maintenance Technician, you would be responsible for the implementation and execution of all corrective, preventative and predictive maintenance of the EFW site.

The EC&I professional will have direct liaison with the Electrical/Mechanical Team Leaders to ensure that the maintenance department delivers a safe, effective and efficient service to the Operations department.

Key Responsibilities:

* Implement and execute all corrective, preventative, and predictive maintenance across all process areas of the plant.

* Implement and develop the site CMMS to involve direct liaison with the Mechanical/Electrical Team Leaders, Maintenance Manager, Mechanical Engineer, Electrical Engineer and DCS/Controls Engineer.

* Deputise for the Electrical Team Leader on site when required

* Direct supervision/liaison with sub-contractors either as a general additional maintenance resource or through specific maintenance contracts.

* Assist in the strategic development of maintenance philosophies at the EFW site through implementing new maintenance techniques and procedures to increase the overall plant availability in line with budget expectations.

* Direct involvement in the planning stages of all planned outages to ensure time schedules and specific maintenance programmes are completed on time and within budget

* Identify and address recurring design or maintenance issues to prevent reoccurrence.

* Adhere to and promote site safety standards and procedures.

Experience:

* Ideally 5 to 10 years’ previous experience within the Power, Paper, Cement or Energy from Waste industries.

* Significant experience in diagnosis and rectification of faults on control and instrumentation equipment as well as electrical.

* Familiarity with high voltage equipment, including maintenance and troubleshooting

* Proficient working with plant control systems, ideally Yokogawa.

* Experience of working with steam turbines and generators ()

* Previous CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System) experience

Requirements:

* Recognised Apprenticeship, or HNC in a electrically biased subject ()

* IOSH or NEBOSH safety accreditation ()

* Strong understanding of Electrical and Control systems/procedures

* Proven experience in maintenance, commissioning, and fault-finding within industrial or process environments (e.g., oil & gas, manufacturing, water treatment, power )
