EC&I Commissioning Engineer in Edinburgh

Job Description

An opportunity exists for an experienced freelance EC&I Commissioning Engineer on a major nuclear decommissioning project.

Previous nuclear experience as well as a P4 pass is essential.

Your duties will include

• To carry out vendor testing witnessing duties at works test.
• Preparation of plant commissioning test specifications
• Early inspection of site installation to facilitate system handovers
• Execution of testing activities throughout IPC commissioning phase
• Identification of faults and ability to propose and implement solutions
• Organisation of Commissioning Technicians and support resources
• Initiation and implementation of FOBs
• Validation of Working Level Instructions
• Application and removal of Temporary Commissioning Aids

Essential requirements include -

• Nuclear CE&I systems commissioning
• Minimum - HNC/HND in Engineering related subject or equivalent
• Experience in nuclear commissioning
• Project management knowledge, preferably APM member
• Calculation production using Excel
• IOSH Working or Managing Safely
• SMSTS or SSSTS
• ECS Supervisory card
