Hana Engineers and Consultants, LLC is seeking a full-time hourly skilled entry level driller apprentice to support our Drilling and Field Services Division. This position will report to the Richmond, VA area and requires hands-on fieldwork alongside experienced drilling professionals.
Core Roles/Responsibilities:
- Must be able to assist with environmental and geotechnical drilling and maintenance and calibration of equipment and tooling.
Specific Qualifications:
- 0-3 years of relevant experience in environmental or geotechnical drilling, field services, construction, or related industries.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis and perform physical tasks in challenging environments, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
- Must be willing to work in various weather conditions.
- Must be willing to work extended hours (hours worked beyond 40/week earn 1.5x hourly payrate)
- Must be open to up to 75% overnight travel (all travel costs covered by Hana).
- Must be able to work independently and in small teams.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Must be able to pass a DOT physical Including a drug screen.
- Must be able to complete a federal background check.
- Must be able to complete 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training within first two weeks of start date (to be completed during regular work hours).
- Must be familiar with Microsoft Office Suite.
- High school diploma required.
Pay:
- $17 - $28/hour, depending on experience.
