This individual contributor role partners closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and external vendors to ensure documentation is accurate, compliant, and aligned with production and regulatory requirements.This position is ideal for a highly detail-oriented professional who thrives in structured environments, values process discipline, and plays a critical role in supporting product development, manufacturability, and global market readiness.Role & Responsibility:Tasks That Will Lead To Your Success
- Administer, track, and maintain Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and change control logs, ensuring all changes are properly documented and communicated.
- Manage and maintain controlled engineering and compliance documentation, including drawings, BOMs, test reports, certifications, and technical manuals.
- Implement and enforce revision control processes to ensure document accuracy, traceability, and version history.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Compliance, and Operations teams to ensure documentation supports design intent, testing, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate documentation updates with Manufacturing to ensure alignment with production processes and release timing.
- Communicate approved documentation changes to suppliers and vendors to support manufacturability and specification compliance.
- Support internal and external audits by providing complete, accurate, and controlled documentation.
- Train and support internal teams on document control procedures, systems, and best practices
- Identify opportunities to improve documentation workflows, consistency, and efficiency.
- Perform additional duties as assigned in support of engineering and operational objectives.
Skills & ExperienceQualifications That Will Help You ThriveRequired Experience
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technical Communication, or a related field
(Equivalent experience will be considered) - 2+ years of experience in documentation control, quality assurance, or engineering support within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of document control systems, ECN processes, and revision control standards.
- Experience working with engineering documentation such as CAD files, BOMs, drawings, and compliance reports.
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to identify inconsistencies, missing information, and ensure full traceability.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional and vendor coordination.
Experience
- Experience supporting ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems.
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as UL, IEC, NEC, or NOM.
- Proficiency with document management and collaboration tools such as SharePoint, Egnyte, PLM, or ERP systems.
- Experience supporting regulated or multi-market product environments.
