Job Description
Shirley Parsons is partnering with a leading industrial contractor looking to add a Safety Director to their team. This person will be in charge of promoting an industry-leading culture of safety and risk mitigation throughout all Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) initiatives. This position will report directly to the Vice President of Safety and will ensure ongoing coordination and clear messaging throughout every tier of the organization.
The Role:
- Guide, develop, and equip safety personnel, on-site teams, and leadership to foster accountability for safety outcomes throughout the organization.
- Leading and enabling a group of safety specialists while coordinating subcontractor safety initiatives to maintain regulatory adherence, foster teamwork, and align with both organizational and client standards.
- Guarantees that the organization’s safety initiatives adhere to all relevant OSHA regulations, client requirements, and industry norms, while cultivating a workplace culture rooted in responsibility and forward-thinking safety practices.
- Direct the creation, dissemination, and execution of the organization's safety goals, strategic plans, guidelines, and protocols to attain top-tier performance standards.
The Candidate:
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management or Occupational Health and Safety .
- Strong understanding of Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC).
- 10+ years of safety experience in a construction environment is required.
- CSP would all be desirable; with a strong understanding of relevant OSHA standards and regulations within the construction industry.
- Ability to travel as required throughout multiple project locations along the east coast.
