Purchasing Director Northern N.J.

We're looking for an experienced Enterprise Purchasing Leader to drive purchasing strategy, supplier performance, and procurement excellence across a multi-location organization. This leadership role will standardize purchasing processes, optimize vendor relationships, improve inventory management, and partner with Finance and Operations to deliver cost savings and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise purchasing strategy and continuous process improvement.

\n

• Manage procurement of materials, equipment, services, and subcontractors.

\n

• Develop and optimize supplier relationships, contracts, and vendor performance.

\n

• Standardize purchasing workflows, approvals, and purchasing compliance.

\n

• Enhance ERP and procurement systems to improve efficiency and reporting.

\n

• Oversee inventory management and align purchasing with operational needs.

\n

• Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to ensure supply continuity and financial alignment.

\n

• Lead, mentor, and develop the purchasing team.

\n

What We're Looking For

\n

\n
• Bachelor's degree in Business or related field (or equivalent experience).

\n

• 10+ years of progressive procurement or supply chain experience.

\n

• 5+ years leading purchasing across multiple locations.

\n

• Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or other complex operational environments.

\n

• Strong negotiation, supplier management, and contract experience.

\n

• ERP/MRP systems experience .

\n

• Proven leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
