Summary:
This position is responsible for all aspects of purchasing, receiving, warehouse, and inventory management functions at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino. Responsible for the supervision of Buyers and Warehouse staff. A Buyer negotiates with vendors for the purchase of all materials, supplies, equipment, and services used by various departments within the organization. The Director maintains good relationships with every department head as well as each member of the Director's staff. Position directly reports to the Director of Finance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Negotiates with vendors for goods and services, for the best possible price and service guarantee.
- Establishes purchasing policies and procedures, maintaining compliance.
- Administers corporate purchasing card program.
- Develops new supply sources when vendors are inadequate.
- Establishes bids and grants awards.
- Establishes vendor accounts (e.g., credits and terms).
- Negotiates blanket purchase orders when appropriate and monitors costs during the assigned time period.
- Maintains costs within corporate-approved guidelines.
- Makes sure the orders placed by Buyers arrive at the Warehouse on schedule.
- Checks requisitions for appropriate approvals and account numbers.
- Traces delinquent arrivals from Purchase Orders.
- Oversees the company’s incoming/outgoing mail system (e.g., postal mail, FedEx, etc.)
- Follows environmental and safety regulations and acts in compliance with U.S. laws
- Complies with corporate safety, security, and business ethics guidelines.
- Submits various reports on a regular basis to the Director of Finance, meeting with supervisor as needed.
- Personnel management for 15 or fewer people made up of Buyers and Warehouse staff.

Requirements:
- Candidates should have a minimum of 8-10 years of purchasing experience and 5+ years of service in a management role within the Purchasing Department.
- Must be at least 21 of or older.
- Prefer a Bachelor's Degree in a business-related area.
- Should have excellent negotiating, organizing, communication, and solid decision-making skills. Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- AgilySys/MMS .
- Other purchasing systems experience a plus.
Work Environment:
Employees working within the Casino or Bowling Center may be exposed to second-hand smoke and moderate levels of noise.
