Position: Director of Program Impact

Status: Exempt - Full-time, 40 hours/week

Salary: Based on Experience

Reports to: Chief Operations Officer

Location: Duluth, GA

MISSION

To transform the lives of families experiencing homelessness by providing help, hope, housing, and healing to instill initiative, self-development, and accountability that will foster meaningful growth in the lives of all who encounter Rainbow Village.


SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:

The Director of Program Impact will work in collaboration with the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) to execute a comprehensive programmatic strategy to enhance our service delivery and accelerate impact on children and families. This position combines our partnerships, program function, and data functions to create a unified programmatic team that will help design our overall programmatic strategy to ensure the lives of families are impacted in a way that all family members gain self-efficacy to develop improved outcomes for all members of the family.


PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:Program Leadership, Oversight, and Evaluation:

  • Oversee the coordination, integration, and delivery of all programs, promoting collaborative relationships between program areas and ensuring that the expectations of staff, partners, funders, and other stakeholders are consistently met

  • Evaluate overall program effectiveness and program quality based on achievement of stated goals; recommend modification to improve program performance or create new program offerings; oversee development of evaluations for programs. Manage the quality improvement process.

  • Conduct surveys, town halls and other feedback mechanisms to ensure an informed data-driven approach to decision making. Leverage existing systems (such as Client Track and CaseBook) to gather and analyze data to inform the programmatic and operational decision-making process and increase the agencys efficiency, transparency, and collaboration across teams.

  • Manage and support the Program Team to achieve their performance and professional development goals
  • Deploy resources efficiently and effectively toward organizational goals, working with staff to balance workload and effort, and provide regular feedback so that key staff can continuously improve their skills
  • Set the vision for and oversee internal and external training and professional development programming to improve the quality and impact of our work

Enterprise Leadership and Organizational Strategy:

  • Serve as a member of the Executive Leadership Team, providing input and making decisions on issues of org-wide magnitude
  • Participate in the budget development process and maintain a high level of fiscal responsibility
  • Implement Rainbow Villages strategic plan as set by the Board of Directors, and in collaboration with the rest of the Executive Team, as well as developing and implementing new initiatives that serve the organizations mission
  • Collaboratively set and steward the organization's strategic direction and develop a comprehensive programmatic impact plan for the organization
  • Champion the Rainbow Village mission, vision, and strategic efforts both inside and outside the organization

Functional Knowledge

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college required.
  • Advanced degree and/or advanced certification or specialization .
  • At least ten years of professional experience, including experience managing teams in a nonprofit, government, or philanthropy setting, overseeing multiple programs or contracts (ideally at an organization serving low-income families or communities)
  • Demonstrated success in developing and evaluating program models and selecting and successfully operationalizing innovative programs.
  • Strong project management skills managing complex, multifaceted projects resulting in measurable successes and program growth.


Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in using technology as a management reporting tool and experience working with information technology staff to develop and implement program evaluation systems.
  • Demonstrated experience managing a high-performing including professional development and mentorship
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and compile complex data for planning and reporting purposes


SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Position requires the attending occasional evening and weekend functions.
