Director of Maintenance and Facilities

A large-scale heavy manufacturing facility (500,000+ sq. ft., unionized) is seeking a Maintenance & Facilities Director to lead all aspects of equipment reliability, plant infrastructure, and facilities management. This operation includes high-volume foundry, CNC machining centers, industrial coating lines, and automated assembly supported by advanced robotics and control systems.

Highlights:

Lead 5 supervisors and ~50 skilled trades employees in a unionized environment

Oversee preventive/predictive maintenance, asset reliability, and automation systems

Manage capital projects (furnace rebuilds, CNC installs, robotic cell integrations)

Ensure performance of building systems: HVAC, electrical, compressed air, water treatment

Drive safety, compliance (OSHA, EPA, NFPA, NEC), and continuous improvement

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent)

10+ years of maintenance/facility leadership in heavy manufacturing

5+ years in a unionized setting

Strong expertise with Allen-Bradley (Rockwell) PLCs, Siemens S7/TIA Portal, and FANUC robotics
