Director - Environmental, Technical & Sustainability (ETS) - Transactions Advisory Group
What will you be doing?
As a Director or Senior Director, you will have the opportunity to work with our team on a variety of sustainability projects across industries. You will provide our clients with an integrated sustainability strategy that goes beyond traditional sustainability analyses, aligning sustainability initiatives with core business objectives to help clients navigate regulatory landscapes, implement climate risk mitigation and decarbonization strategies, and design optimized and sustainable supply chains. You will help clients meet stakeholder expectations, improve ESG ratings, and strengthen governance frameworks to bolster long-term business resilience. Responsibilities include managing client relationships, leading engagements, and contributing to sales and business development efforts, while mentoring junior team members and adhering to risk management guidelines.
Responsibilities will include:
Effectively manage day-to-day client interaction and relationships, including communicating the capabilities of A&M to clients.
Identify potential sustainability risks and execute implementation strategies.
Identify and leverage sustainability opportunities to optimize operations and enhance business value.
Guide clients in navigating complex regulatory landscapes and ensuring compliance with evolving sustainability standards and customer/client requirements.
Strengthen governance frameworks and enhance business resilience.
Generate climate risk reports aligned with TCFD/ISSB framework.
Manage and prioritize engagements and responsibilities appropriately.
Effectively handle all relationship matters with clients, with limited Managing Director involvement.
Manage multiple chargeable and non-chargeable projects of varying size and complexity, and meet or exceed client expectations.
Contribute to sales pursuits by generating new client business and/or adding on business from current clients; assist MDs and other Senior Directors in sales and business development efforts.
Demonstrate a core understanding of ETS services and cross-sell TAG and other A&M services as opportunities arise.
Develop and propose creative solutions to engagement and transaction risks and manage problem resolution.
Help engagement executives maximize client value by monitoring engagement leverage and staff efficiency.
Proactively train, develop and mentor mid/junior levels for TAG ETS Team.
Adhere to risk management guidelines and engagement review memo procedures.
Adequately manage engagement risk and potential client or engagement issues.

Where you will be based
This role can be based in New York, Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. Other locations may be considered.
Qualifications
A minimum of 10 years of sustainability/ESG consulting and/or industry experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, finance, economics, sustainability or related major
Working knowledge of Sustainability Reporting Frameworks and Standards, including GHG Protocol
Understanding of private equity markets and value creation levers throughout the investment lifecycle
Proven success in developing and implementing strategic sustainability programs
High proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and PowerBI
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to articulate to senior client management and colleagues
Strong project management skills
Flexibility to work as part of a team and as an individual contributor
Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial setting

Full-time positions (and part-time positions over 30 hours) eligible for the firm’s fringe benefits, including healthcare plans, flexible spending and savings accounts, life, AD&D, coverages, and a 401(k) retirement plan with discretionary contributions. Paid time off includes vacation, personal days, sick time, federal holidays, a floating holiday, and parental leave. Eligibility for benefits varies by tenure and role.
