GrowPath is looking for a hands-on Director of Engineering to lead our talented team of software developers and help scale our platform to the next level.

What youll do:

Lead from the Front

• Write production code weeklyyoull stay deep in the stack and help unblock complex technical problems firsthand.
• Participate in key code reviews, especially for high-risk or business-critical features.
• Model high-quality engineering habits and guide the team on writing scalable, maintainable code.

Drive Outcomes, Not Just Output

• Run high-velocity sprints that deliver real business impact.
• Ensure disciplined engineering practices and outcome-focused culture.
• Track and follow up on sprint and standup commitments to keep delivery on point.
• Help the team pivot when priorities changewithout losing momentum.

Build and Empower the Team

• Develop and mentor engineersgrowing both their technical skills and ownership mindset.
• Hold the team accountable to high standards, while creating a culture of mutual respect and psychological safety.
• Foster pride, engagement, and transparency through continuous feedback and recognition.

Shape Process and Communication

• Evolve lightweight, efficient processes that reduce friction and help engineers ship faster.
• Act as a bridge between engineering, product, and businessensuring alignment and clear expectations.
• Proactively surface risks and delivery gaps to leadership.

What were looking for:

• 7+ years of experience in software engineering, ideally in a SaaS environment.
• 2+ years leading high-performing engineering teams with a proven track record of delivery.
• Strong hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails and React.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines (CircleCI, GCB), and cloud platforms (GCP ).
• Strong instincts for balancing speed, quality, and technical debt.
• A builders mindset: biased toward action, comfortable with ambiguity, and always focused on the outcome.

Bonus points if you have:

• Experience working in legal tech or with B2B workflow tools.
• A passion for emerging technologiesespecially AI-powered platforms.
• An eye for product and UX, and a strong collaborative relationship with design and product leads.
