The Director of Construction provides executive oversight for all construction activities, ensuring operations are scalable, profitable, and aligned with organizational growth.
Strategic Leadership & Financial Accountability

Establish and execute construction operational strategies to meet aggressive growth and profitability targets.

Maintain full P&L ownership, including budget approvals, margin analysis, and labor productivity.

Partner with executive leadership on market expansion, staffing models, and capital investments.

Implement corrective actions to address cost overruns and optimize departmental financial performance.
Pre-Construction & Project Execution

Provide strategic input to the bidding process and ensure seamless handoffs from estimating to operations.

Oversee all projects from award through closeout, ensuring delivery remains within contract scope, schedule, profitability, and budget.

Monitor production performance across multiple sites and resolve complex project challenges.

Collaborate with sales teams to ensure accurate estimates and the development of profitable new business.
Leadership & Team Development

Hire, train, and mentor a high-performing team including project managers and field personnel.

Safety, Quality & Compliance

Candidate Profile
Required Qualifications:

10+ years of progressive experience in construction or field operations.

5+ years in a senior leadership or executive role managing large teams and significant budgets.

Proven track record of achieving operational KPIs and exceeding financial goals.

Deep technical knowledge of landscape construction best practices.
Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.

Strong business acumen with the ability to implement scalable systems and SOPs.
