Dimensional Quality Control / Quality Assurance Inspector

Location: Torrance, CA (or nearby areas)
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Pay Rate: $19.00 – $22.00 per hour (DOE)
Department: Quality Assurance / Quality Control
Reports To: Quality Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt / Full-Time

Position Summary:

We are seeking a true Dimensional Quality Control / Quality Assurance professional to join our team in Torrance. This is a dedicated QC/QA role, focused entirely on dimensional inspection, verification, and documentation of mechanical and precision components in a manufacturing environment serving aerospace and defense. This position does not involve production or operator tasks—we need someone whose expertise is solely in quality.

The ideal candidate is bilingual in English and Spanish, able to communicate effectively across teams, and ensures strict compliance with all company, customer, and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform receiving, in-process, and final inspections per ASME, ANSI, and MIL Spec standards.
• Conduct visual inspections (VT) on castings and welds per MSS SP-55 and MIL-STD-248.
• Document and review nonconformities (NCRs), CPAs, KPIs, and participate in MRB reviews.
• Maintain inspection tools and equipment, performing calibration checks as required.
• Develop and maintain inspection documentation, including checklists and templates.
• Coordinate with DCMA and outside vendors for source inspections.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives through root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Communicate inspection results and findings to production and engineering teams.

Qualifications & Skills:

• 3–5 years of experience in dimensional Quality Control or Quality Assurance, ideally in aerospace, defense, or high-precision manufacturing.
• Strong blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills.
• Knowledge of AS9100, AS9102, ISO 9001, FAA standards.
• Experience with CMM and NDT (Level 1 & 2) .
• Familiarity with SAP, R4, M3 Pro Works, or similar quality systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
• Bilingual English/Spanish required.
• Strong attention to detail, teamwork, and communication skills.
• A&P Repairman’s Certification but not required.

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical or vocational training in Quality Assurance, Inspection, or a related field .
