Diesel Truck Maintenance Mechanic, 2nd Shift

We seek a Diesel Truck Maintenance Mechanic with preventative maintenance and patchwork experience to work in Long Beach, CA.

This is a full-time opportunity where you will earn $33.50 per hour and train on the day shift (5AM – 1:30PM) before moving to the 2nd shift (1PM – 9:30PM) once your training is complete. Plus, after 90 days of employment you will be eligible for 40 hours of sick pay.

Your responsibilities as a Diesel Truck Maintenance Mechanic include inspecting vehicles and diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, repairing faulty parts such as turbochargers, fuel systems, transmissions, and exhaust systems, and:

• Performing routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, and filter replacements.
• Using diagnostic tools and equipment to identify problems.
• Documenting detailed service records and job reports.

To qualify for our Diesel Truck Maintenance Mechanic position, you must have a valid driver’s license, at least 5 years of experience performing maintenance on diesel trucks, and:

• Prior patchwork experience.
• Preventative Maintenance Experience.
• Electrical knowledge.
• Glad hand experience.
• Prior experience working in a transportation yard is a plus.
