WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
Diagnose, repair and maintain fire apparatus and emergency vehicles. Perform skilled work in maintaining automotive, medium and heavy duty trucks, to include all Fire Division and Rescue (EMS) Division vehicles, including small gas engines and other associated equipment. Experience with welding/fabrication to upfit new deliveries or minor repair work would be helpful.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Self-starter with positive can-do attitude
Knowledge of Diesel engines
Valid class CDL B driver's license with Air Brakes or willingness to obtain within the first year
Knowledge of up-to-date methods of maintaining autos, trucks and emergency vehicles
ASE and/or EVT certifications a plus
Ability to TIG aluminum, TIG stainless steel, MIG aluminum and MIG steel a PLUS
Able to weld components in flat, vertical or overhead positions a PLUS
This is a full-time position, Monday - Friday 7:30-4:00.
Starting rate $20-35/hr depending on experience and certifications
