Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our busy repair shop. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will diagnose and repair issues with trucks performance and function.

As a Diesel Mechanic, you must have an in-depth understanding of all Commercial Trucks systems and components. You will also be responsible for maintaining repair shop equipment

The ideal candidate is skilled in communicating with Operations Manager and Drivers, able to explain truck issues clearly and concisely and provide valuable advice.

Responsibilities


  • Inspect, diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on a wide range of vehicles and equipment.
  • Respond to service calls for emergency breakdowns.
  • Estimates time and material costs on vehicle repairs and new parts.
  • Carry out routine vehicle maintenance tasks such as tire rotations, oil changes, and brake pad replacements
  • Conduct in-depth vehicle inspections of all systems, including engine, transmission.
  • Safety checks on vehicles the safety of every single employee and the people in our communities is our number one priority
  • Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate / OSHA Standards and perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
  • Maintain accurate repair shop records and paperwork


Qualifications

  • 2 years of relevant work experience
  • A valid drivers license, with a clean driving record
  • Automotive Service Excellence/ASE certification or Society of Automotive Engineers/SAE certification is
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States
  • Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Successfully complete and pass pre-employment drug screen and physical.
