We are looking for a Diesel Mechanic for our Fort Worth, TX location. The successful candidate will possess the mechanical expertise, drive and dedication for this position. Applicants should have some knowledge in construction equipment, service management, diesel experience, and heavy machinery experience.
Responsibilities
- Works under limited supervision.
- Performs repairs and assigned preventive maintenance services.
- Performs inspection, diagnosis and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment.
- Utilizes vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs.
- Performs all work within Standard Repair Times (SRTs).
- Performs service calls for emergency breakdowns.
- Conducts safety checks on vehicles. Be able to troubleshoot equipment
- Completes required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software program associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times.
- Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate / OSHA Standards and performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Completion of a certificate program focused on heavy equipment Maintenance and repair (a plus)
- 1 to 2 years of experience with diesel/ heavy equipment
- Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Successfully complete and pass pre-employment drug screen and physical.
- Own tools
Schedule: Monday to Friday 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Ability to work after hours if required.
