Diesel Mechanic

Job DescriptionJob DescriptionMasterTech is on the search for experienced Diesel Mechanics to support busy construction fleet maintenance in Brookings, SD.

Mechanics will be responsible for the maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs to various types of on-road and off-road diesel equipment, including heavy-duty trucks, trailers, loaders, dozers, cranes, motor graders, trenchers, excavators, etc. Mechanics are tasked with all preventative maintenance activities, inspections, changing faulty parts/components, along with diagnostics and repair to mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Work is performed mainly in a shop setting.

Compensation:

• $25.00 - $32.00/hour to start, depending on training and experience.

Shift:

• Between 7:00AM - 5:00PM, Monday to Friday.
  
• Overtime available.
  

Key Qualifications:

• 2 or more years of working experience as a Mechanic.
  
• Good understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  
• Experience working in fleet environments (construction and/or trucking) .
  
• High school diploma .
  
• Degree in diesel technology, and/or ASE/OEM certifications , not required.
  
• Owns set of tools and valid driver's license.
