Modern Diesel is currently seeking a skilled and dependable Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing diesel engines and related systems on a variety of medium and heavy duty trucks.

Key Responsibilities:

Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues

Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and preventative services

Complete engine overhauls, brake systems repairs, and hydraulic system diagnostics

Utilize diagnostic tools and software to assess issues accurately

Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Keep detailed records of repairs and services performed

Qualifications:

3+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic (fleet, heavy equipment, or truck shop )

Proficient in reading and interpreting technical manuals and schematics

Possesses the proper tools for day to day jobs

Familiarity with diagnostic software and tools

Strong attention to detail and troubleshooting skills

Valid driver’s license (CDL a plus)

ASE or OEM certifications are a bonus
