Diesel Mechanic

Job Description

General Labor Services is seeking a dedicated experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will prossess strong diagnostic and repair skills across diesel engines and industrial equipment, including forklift and commercial vehicles. This role demands mechanical expertise, problem-solving ability, and proactive approach to teamwork.

Duties:

• Perform diagnostics on diesel engines and related systems to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
• Conduct routine maintenance on diesel-powered vehicles and equipment, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely.
• Repair and replace components such as air brakes, brake systems, and other mechanical parts as needed.
• Utilize schematics to troubleshoot electrical systems and perform necesaary repairs.
• Operate hand tools and diagnostic equipment effectively to complete repairs.
• Maintain a clean and organizer workspace while adhering to safety protocols.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance tasks.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in diesel engine repair with a strong understanding of automotive diagnostics.
• Proficient in air brake systems, brake repair, and other mechanical components.
• 2 years of diesel mechanic experience.
• Forklift operation experience is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Bilingual is a plus.
• Ability to work indendently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

Schedule:

Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:00pm

Pay Rate: $25-$35/DOE
