The Role
We’re looking for a career-driven, hands-on Diesel Bus Mechanic with at least 5 years of professional experience in fleet maintenance. You’ll be working on DOT-regulated buses, tackling everything from preventative maintenance to complex electrical troubleshooting. If you take pride in solving problems, keeping vehicles safe, and working as part of a strong shop team, we want to hear from you.

What You’ll Do

• Perform scheduled maintenance, inspections, and repairs on diesel buses.

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, air, and hydraulic systems.

• Use diagnostic tools and onboard systems to identify faults and complete accurate repairs.

• Troubleshoot diesel engines, powertrain components, fuel systems, and A/C systems.

• Respond to on-road breakdowns and emergency service calls when needed.

• Keep detailed maintenance and repair records to meet DOT and company standards.

• Collaborate with and mentor junior mechanics to ensure quality work across the shop.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years experience as a bus or heavy-duty diesel mechanic.

• Solid knowledge of DOT inspection procedures.

• Advanced troubleshooting skills for electrical and pneumatic systems.

• Experience repairing A/C, ventilation, fuel, and hydraulic systems.

• Valid CDL B (, but not required).

• Strong recordkeeping and diagnostic software skills.

Pay: $30-$35 per hour (Negotiable based on experience)
