  • Performing all work adhering to DOT, OSHA, and all M&S Delivery, Inc safety and maintenance policies; including but not limited to the correct selection and use of appropriate tools, PPE, machine guarding, and established best safety practices.
  • Work area cleanliness: keeping company service trucks and workplaces clean. Discarding old parts. Taking preventive action to reduce and properly clean all fluid spills.
  • Repair all trucks to DOT and M&S Delivery, Inc standards. M&S Delivery, Inc standards being that repairs are made correctly the first time.
  • Attention to detail: ability to repair any defects without creating more damage or replacing unneeded parts, ability to accurately diagnose items, and follow troubleshooting steps on diagnostic programs.
  • Motive: accurately record service notes in Motive, ability to review and schedule defects reported in Motive by drivers.
  • Cost efficiency when purchasing parts with vendors. There are multiple vendor accounts set up, so prices need to be compared and check with outside vendors as well.
  • Annual inspections, Preventable maintenance, and monthly preventive maintenance items completed on time, and correctly to DOT and M&S Delivery, Inc standards.
  • Supplies and on hand parts are kept ensuring that items are there when defects or services are needed to be completed.
  • Communication with driver managers to get details on any truck issues conveyed from drivers.
  • Communication with Head Mechanic if support is needed on a repair.
  • Red tagging any truck that is not deemed as safe by the mechanic. Communicating any red tagged truck with David immediately.

Requirements:

  • 1-5 years experience working on Diesel engines
  • 1-5 year experience with power tools
  • 1-5 years welding
  • 1-5 years reading wiring diagrams
  • 1-5 years electrical repair
  • 1-5 years DEF repair
  • CDL Class A is a plus, not required
  • Ability to pass background screening
