Diesel Mechanic Pay Rate and Hours:

• $23.00/hr
• 8 Hr Shift, Monday - Friday plus OT

Diesel Mechanic Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Routine Maintenance: Perform scheduled maintenance tasks on diesel engines and vehicles to ensure smooth operation and prevent breakdowns
• Diagnostic Testing: Use specialized tools to diagnose mechanical issues, troubleshoot problems, and identify the root causes of malfunctions
• Repair Work: Conduct repairs and replacements of faulty parts in diesel engines and systems, including engines, brakes, transmissions, and other components
• Inspection: Inspect diesel vehicles for wear and tear, damage, and mechanical defect, ensuring compliance with safety and emissions
• Testing and Quality Control: Test vehicle systems and components to verify proper functioning and performance after repairs or maintenance work
• Documentation: Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, parts used, and maintenance schedules for each diesel vehicle
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations while working on diesel engines to ensure a safe working environment and prevent accidents
• Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other mechanics, technicians, and team members to complete tasks efficiently and address complex mechanical issues

Diesel Mechanic Desired Skills:

• 2+ years of diesel mechanic experience (senior/lead tech level )
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical diagnostics
• Valid driver’s license (CDL ) with clean driving record
• ASE certifications or equivalent ()
• Welding/fabrication experience is a plus
• Physical ability to lift heavy objects (50+ Lbs), stand for long periods, and perform manual labor
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required for project demands
