We’re proud to be a family-run business, built on strong values and a commitment to delivering the highest standards of service.\n\n The Role \nAs a Generator Service Engineer, you’ll play a key role in supporting our growing customer base by:\n\nCarrying out routine servicing and maintenance on a variety of diesel generator sets\nDiagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical faults\nTroubleshooting control panel and wiring issues, including component replacement\nPerforming Load Banking and mains failure testing as per customer requirements\nOrdering and sourcing parts required for ongoing work\nSubmitting accurate and timely service reports\nCoordinating repairs to minimise customer downtime\nCollaborating with our internal service team to ensure seamless operationsWhat We’re Looking For\nTime-served Generator Engineer or NVQ Level 3 qualified in a relevant discipline\nPrevious generator experience is but not essential\nSolid understanding of engines, alternators, control systems, and electrical components\nExperience working in a mobile/field-based engineering role is an advantage\nFlexibility to work overtime, weekends, and occasional overnight stays\nWillingness to take part in the on-call rota\nAbility to complete and interpret risk assessments\nStrong communicator – confident dealing with a wide range of customers face-to-face and over the phone\nReliable, proactive, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environmentWhat We Offer\nCompetitive hourly rate (based on experience)\nOvertime paid after 40 hours\n£200 weekly standby allowance when on-call around 1 in 7*\n33 days holiday (including bank holidays)\nPrivate healthcare cover\nDeath in service benefit\nCompany vehicle\nOngoing training and upskilling\nGenuine long-term career progressionIf you're a skilled engineer looking for a new challenge in a forward-thinking, supportive business – we’d love to hear from you
