Pay Range: $25–$30/hour (Based on experience & shift)
Shifts Available:

• 1st Shift: 5:00 AM – 2:00 PM
• 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
• 3rd Shift: 9:00 PM – 6:00 AM

What We’re Looking For:
We’re hiring a B-Level Diesel Bus Mechanic to join our Brooklyn depot. This role is ideal for someone with 3–4+ years of diesel repair experience who is comfortable handling advanced diagnostics, Cummins engines, DOT inspections, and electrical troubleshooting. If you're a well-rounded technician looking for stability and growth in a union environment, this is for you.Key Responsibilities:

• Perform advanced diagnostics and resolve issues using scan tools and OEM software
• Troubleshoot and repair Cummins engines (fuel, cooling, turbo systems)
• Conduct DOT inspections and ensure full compliance with FMCSA standards
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems (sensors, wiring, relays, etc.)
• Service and repair suspension, steering, HVAC, and brake systems
• Perform full preventative maintenance and ensure fleet readiness
• Collaborate with team on large repairs and contribute to shop cleanliness and safety

 Requirements:

• 3–4 years of experience as a Diesel Technician (bus or truck fleet )
• Strong understanding of Cummins engines, DEF, and DPF systems
• Familiarity with DOT inspection procedures and FMCSA regulations
• Electrical diagnostic and repair experience using proper schematics/tools
• Must have own tools and steel toe boots
• Must pass a drug screen, background check, and MVR check (if applicable)
• Able to lift 50+ lbs and work in a physical, fast-paced environment

  Qualifications:

• EPA 609 A/C certification (HVAC system experience is a plus)
• CDL license (not required but helpful)
• Experience working on transit buses or heavy-duty diesel fleets
• Fabrication or welding experience a plus
