Summary:
We are seeking an experienced engineer with a background in both DevOps and systems administration to support a cloud-focused technical team. This role requires an active Top Secret clearance and close collaboration with technical and program leadership to deliver a modernized desktop and web-based dissemination solution. The engineer will be responsible for configuring and maintaining cloud-hosted Windows environments and deploying a mix of commercial, government-developed, and custom software.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead administrative and DevOps efforts to support the development and deployment of mission-critical systems.

Build and manage Windows environments in a cloud infrastructure, including automation of deployments across development and production stages.

Perform troubleshooting, updates, and coordination with both internal teams and external partners.

Use web-based tools, remote access methods, and cloud- solutions to support continuous integration and delivery pipelines.

Contribute to system resilience through patching, version control, and diagnostics.
Essential Skills & Experience:
-
Active TS clearance (SCI eligibility post-hire)

Compliant with DoD 8570 standards (e.g., Security+)

Hands-on experience with AWS and managing cloud-based infrastructure

Deep knowledge of Windows Server and Desktop OS

Background in systems design, integration, and architecture

Familiarity with DevSecOps processes and secure software pipelines

Experience with CI/CD toolsets, especially GitLab and scripting for automation

Exposure to OpenShift and Python-based web development

Strong communicator with a proactive, detail-oriented mindset

Capable of managing workload independently and following through on tasks
Bonus Points For:

Prior work with geospatial tools like ArcGIS

Use of AWS services including CloudFormation, Lambda, ECS, EKS, and S3

Experience with serverless design and scalable architectures

Comfort with diagramming and documenting infrastructure solutions

Familiarity with collaboration platforms like Jira, Confluence, and RocketChat

Professional certifications in AWS or Microsoft ecosystems
