Job Title Development Engineer \n\nTown Derby\n\nSalary circa £48,000 depending on experience\n\nWe are looking to recruit a Development Engineer to work for an international manufacturing company supplying components to the Aerospace industry. The Development Engineer will focus on developing and implementing advanced machining methods, supporting new product introduction, and improving manufacturing processes within a production environment. This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking aerospace manufacturer and play a key role in developing new machining technologies and processes.\n\nWhat's on offer:\n\nSalary circa £48,000 depending on experience\nMonday-Thursday 7.30am to 4.30pm and 7.30am to 12.30pm on Friday\n25 days holiday plus bank holidays \nDeath in service benefit of 2 x annual salary \nCompany pension scheme \nEmployee Assistance Programme \nFree on-site car parking \n\nDuties:\n\nDevelop and prove out new machining programs and manufacturing methods\nSupport the installation and commissioning of new CNC machine tools\nLead machining trials, prototyping, and process development projects\nWork closely with production teams to transfer new methods into production\nProvide technical problem solving and process improvements\nLiaise with machine tool suppliers and tooling providers\nSupport the training of operators on new processes and programs\nTrack and report machining performance and improvement opportunities \n\nSkills & Experience:\n\nExtensive experience in 5-axis CNC machining is essential\nStrong problem solving and technical evaluation skills\nExperience within a production or prototyping environment\nMust have good communication and teamwork skills\nCAD/CAM experience\nFanuc or Mazatrol programming knowledge would be an advantage\nAwareness of robotic automation is preferable \n\nDue to the nature of the business only candidates who hold a BRITISH PASSPORT can be considered for this position\n\nTo find out more call Julia @ Prime Appointments or apply via the link
