Role Description The Development and Operations Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Tulsa, OK, responsible for advancing Drexel Academy’s mission through effective fundraising and efficient school operations. In this role, the manager oversees donor relations, annual giving campaigns, grant research and writing, and stewardship activities that support sustainable funding. The position includes managing day-to-day operational functions such as facilities coordination, vendor and contract management, budgeting support, and compliance with school policies and procedures. The manager collaborates closely with school leadership to plan events, track key performance metrics, and streamline administrative workflows. This role also supports communication with families, partners, and the broader community to strengthen engagement and promote the school’s programs and impact.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in fundraising, donor relations, and stewardship, including managing annual campaigns and cultivating long-term supporter relationships.
  • \n

  • Skills in grant prospecting, grant writing, and reporting, with the ability to align proposals to organizational mission and funder priorities.
  • \n

  • Operational management experience, including facilities coordination, vendor and contract oversight, and basic budgeting or financial tracking.
  • \n

  • Strong organizational, project management, and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a dynamic school environment.
  • \n

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear reports, presentations, and donor-facing materials.
  • \n

  • Proficiency with office productivity tools and databases (e.g., Microsoft Office or Google Workspace, CRM or donor management systems) and comfort learning new technologies.
  • \n

  • Collaborative mindset and interpersonal skills to work effectively with school leadership, educators, families, donors, and community partners.
  • \n

  • Commitment to equity, , and the mission of serving historically underserved communities; prior experience in education or nonprofit settings is beneficial.
  • \n

  • Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, business, communications, education, or a related field, or equivalent combination of training and relevant experience.
