Brief Description:

The time is right to join Suburban Consulting Engineers! SCE is currently seeking a Designer in our Clients office location near Phillipsburg, NJ. The Designer will work collaboratively as a member of our team providing essential support to one of SCEs Utility Clients sales and engineering departments in a fast-paced work environment.

In this role, the Designer will be responsible for designing new gas main and service installations under the direction of the Client. The Designer routinely performs all basic design tasks including sizing calculations and preparation of plans. Other related design duties may be required as needed. Candidates must have the ability to organize assigned work and develop effective work methods.

Examples of work/duties:

Receive and review load criteria provided by customers.

Perform standard computations or analysis in Client-provided software to properly size new main and service installations.

Prepare drawings and visual aids for main and service location installations.

Input design data and information into Client-provided project management software.

Minimum Requirements:

Possess a valid drivers license.

Bachelors Degree in the field of Engineering.

0-6 years of related experience.

Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Knowledgeable in AutoCAD.
