Northwest Builders & Renovation is seeking a versatile Design and Project Coordinator to support both our construction projects and office operations. This role blends architectural and permitting tasks—such as preparing drawings, coordinating with city offices, and managing project documentation—with administrative coordination, including overseeing virtual assistants, processing checks, scheduling, and client communications. The ideal candidate will have a background in architecture, construction, or design, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities

Design & Permitting

• Assist in preparing drawings, plans, and permit applications.

• Coordinate with city permitting offices, contractors, and consultants.

• Support design development and project planning.

• Maintain project documentation, revisions, and file organization.

Project & Administrative Coordination

• Manage and oversee virtual assistants (VAs) handling office support tasks.

• Write checks, track expenses, and assist with vendor billing.

• Schedule and coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, and track follow-ups.

• Support leadership with reports, proposals, and client communications.

Qualifications

• Background in architecture, construction management, or related design/technical field.

• Familiarity with permitting processes in the Seattle metro area is a plus.

• Proficiency in design/drafting software (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar).

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

• Experience in administrative coordination, bookkeeping, or office management .

• Comfortable managing VAs and ensuring accountability for delegated tasks.

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Compensation

• Entry Level: $65,000 – $85,000 per year
