Design Manager - Industrial Cladding & Roofing (Gloucester)\n\nOverview\n\nWe are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Design Manager to lead the delivery of high-quality facade and roofing design solutions. This role is pivotal in managing the full design lifecycle, ensuring projects are delivered in line with client expectations, regulatory requirements, and programme deadlines.\n\nThe successful candidate will play a key role in driving innovation, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and influencing project outcomes through strategic planning and effective problem-solving.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nLead and manage the design process from concept through to project completion, ensuring alignment with client briefs and project objectives.\nCoordinate closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure effective communication and seamless collaboration.\nOversee the use of design tools such as Autodesk software to produce accurate drawings, schedules, and technical documentation.\nEnsure all designs comply with relevant building codes, standards, and health & safety regulations, in coordination with main contractors.\nManage project timelines, prioritising workloads to meet critical deadlines across multiple projects.\nReview and approve design drawings, specifications, and documentation prior to submission.\nIdentify and mitigate potential design risks early in the process, implementing effective solutions.\nMentor and support junior team members, promoting a collaborative and high-performance team environment.\n\nRequirements\n\nProven experience in a Design Management role within cladding and roofing systems.\nStrong proficiency in CAD software and experience working with BIM technologies.\nExcellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and multidisciplinary teams.\nDemonstrated leadership capability, with experience guiding teams through complex design challenges.\nAdaptable and proactive, with strong problem-solving abilities in dynamic project environments. \n\n(email address removed) Recruit
