Conrad Consulting is proud to be working with a leading construction and engineering organisation to offer an exciting contract opportunity for an experienced Design Manager - Civils & Geo. This is a 3 to 6-month contract role, ideal for a technically strong professional looking to make an immediate impact on complex infrastructure and geotechnical projects.\n\nAs Design Manager, you will be responsible for managing, reviewing, and coordinating design information across all project phases. You will ensure design outputs are compliant with contractual obligations and align with key considerations such as buildability, safety, maintenance, programme, and technical performance.\n\nYou will play a senior role within the Design Job Family and Technical Function, contributing to technical assurance from early-stage engagement through to project delivery.\n\nQualifications and Experience\n\nChartered membership with a recognised professional body (ICE, IStructE, CIOB, RIBA, CIBSE)\nDegree in Civil, Structural, Geotechnical, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or Architecture\nEquivalent construction-related qualifications with strong design experience consideredPreferred Experience:\n\nMinimum 5 years' experience in a design management or technical leadership role\nFull lifecycle experience managing design - from concept through to handover\nStrong knowledge of procurement routes and multi-sector project exposure\nFamiliarity with CDM regulations, BIM workflows, and design collaboration platformsWhat's on Offer\n\nA 3-6 month contract with a well-established and forward-thinking organisation\nCompetitive day rate\nThe opportunity to work on high-profile and technically complex projects\nA collaborative and innovative work environmentIf you're an experienced Design Manager ready for your next contract role, then please get your CV over to Graham Ventham
