Job Description
We are seeking a strategic, creative, and results-driven Design Manager to lead our Design Team and play a key role in shaping the future of our product line. This position will be responsible for managing and mentoring a team of designers, collaborating closely with Sales, Marketing, and Engineering to deliver exceptional boat designs that exceed customer expectations and reinforce our brand’s premium .
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of industrial and marine designers; foster a culture of innovation and design excellence.
- Translate product vision and market requirements into compelling boat designs that align with the brand’s premium positioning.
- Drive the design process from concept through production, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Sales, and Marketing to ensure design solutions meet technical, functional, and aesthetic goals.
- Gather and integrate customer and dealer feedback into the design process.
- Oversee design documentation, 3D models, renderings, and presentations to support internal and external communication.
- Stay current with marine design trends, technologies, and materials to ensure our products remain industry-leading.
- Manage project timelines, resourcing, and priorities to align with company milestones.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, manufacturing feasibility, and cost targets throughout the design lifecycle.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Marine Design, or related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
- 7+ years of professional experience in product or marine design, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience managing and developing high-performing design teams.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating marine or lifestyle product design excellence and innovation
- Exceptional collaboration skills and ability to work across departments.
- Deep understanding of materials, finishes, and fabrication techniques used in boat manufacturing.
- Proficient in design and visualization software (e.g., Rhino, SolidWorks, Adobe Creative Suite, KeyShot, etc.).
- Experience working with engineering and manufacturing teams to bring products from concept to launch
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.

• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements include eye protection, hearing protection,
gloves, protective suits, dusts masks and respirators
• The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or
crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift
and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Employees must be able to work a 10-hour shift or more in one work day including planned and
unplanned overtime
• Exhibits ability to work cautiously but efficiently in potentially hazardous conditions
