Seeking a Design Engineer or Design Specialist to lead the design, integration, and development of commercial vehicle systems across multiple truck platforms and truck upfitting applications.
This hands-on role is ideal for a technical professional who thrives in system-level design and development, from concept through production.
Responsibilities
- Lead CNG, RNG fuel system vehicle integration and custom truck upfitting applications
- Manage project and program planning
- Drive concept , design reviews, and component specification
- Perform CAD design (SolidWorks ), BOM preparation, and engineering analysis
- Apply geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) and material selection
- Conduct Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
- Prepare technical documentation and product data packages
- Support mathematical modeling (FEM/FEA )
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical experience
- Experience in emissions development, OBDII diagnostics, and powertrain systems
- Strong understanding of internal combustion engines and natural gas systems
- Familiarity with data acquisition, vehicle installation, and test setup
- Experience with government compliance and product certification
- Self-starter with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams
- experience with ATI, VECTOR, ETAS tools, and CAN network communication
- Understanding of shuttle buses, Ford 450 platform or Chevy Express cutaway

Eligibility Requirements
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (U.S. , Green Card holder, or Canadian with TN Visa)
- Must reside in or be willing to relocate to the SOCAL/Carson/Torrance, CA metro area
