Design Engineer role open with a global manufacturer in Greer, SC. This is a unique opportunity to join a global engineering team in a beautiful, new facility. This role blends design engineering and manufacturing process support, offering exposure to both new product introduction and manufacturing optimization. You’ll have ownership in a new facility with the backing of a global leader.

Responsibilities

• Participate in Design engineering work in SolidWorks, creating, modifying, and updating detailed 2D & 3D models and drawings.
• Support the design team by covering workload and taking on projects that move directly into production.
• Partner with manufacturing and operations teams to ensure designs are practical, efficient, and manufacturable.
• Drive process improvements around tooling, fixtures, assembly methods, and flow layouts, ensuring production efficiency.
• Support new product introduction and continuous improvement projects as the plant scales.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 2-4+ years of hands-on design engineering experience, preferably in manufacturing or product development.
• Strong SolidWorks proficiency (2D & 3D modeling, assemblies, technical drawings).
• Experience working cross-functionally with manufacturing/operations teams.
• Exposure to process engineering, lean/CI methods, or design-for-manufacturing.
• Adaptability — excited to wear multiple hats in a new facility environment.
