Design Engineer - microcontroller, Electrical Module in Warren
Job DescriptionJob Description
Required Qualifications:
• BS in Engineering, Physics, Math, or Computer Science
• 2+ years of related experience
• Knowledge of microcontroller architectures, memory technologies, and programming.
• Understanding of hardware design and failure modes in electronic modules.
• Knowledge of vehicle serial data communications.
• Demonstrated proficiency in writing and comprehending software/hardware requirements.
• Knowledge of software verification/validation processes.
• Knowledge of testing and associated tools.
• Data analysis & storytelling with data: comfortable pulling, cleaning, and interpreting data (e.g., IPTV, warranty, test results) to drive decisions and root-cause actions.
• Electrical technical capability: basic understanding of automotive electrical hardware/embedded controllers (circuits, interfaces, basic CAN/LIN behavior) to make sound engineering judgments.
Qualifications:
• DFMEA training
• Knowledge of software algorithm design and software architecture.
• Engineering Change Management Experience
• Electronic Validation Experience
• DFSS Black Belt Certification
• Vehicle Communication Tool Experience
• Wiring experience
• Design/Development of Safety Critical Systems/Components
