Job Summary:
The Design Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing products and systems in alignment with customer specifications, company goals, and industry standards. This role requires a strong focus on innovation, functionality, and manufacturability, as well as close collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed 2D and 3D designs, models, and drawings using CAD software.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to gather project requirements and ensure designs meet specifications.
- Conduct engineering analyses, such as stress testing, thermal analysis, and finite element analysis, to validate designs.
- Create prototypes and oversee product testing to refine and optimize designs.
- Research and integrate new materials, technologies, and processes to enhance product performance and reduce costs.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including design reports, BOMs, and manuals.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations.
- Work closely with the manufacturing team to ensure designs are practical and cost-effective to produce.
- Troubleshoot and resolve design-related issues throughout the development and production process.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in a design engineering role .
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar).
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and industry standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a detail-oriented mindset.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies is a plus.
