Design Engineer - Fluid Power (Gloucester) £50K

leading supplier of fluid power products and technical solutions, supporting customers across a wide range of industrial sectors. We pride ourselves on engineering expertise, innovation, and delivering high-quality, reliable solutions that keep industry moving.

Looking for a talented Design Engineer to join our engineering team and help drive product development and bespoke system solutions.

The Role

As a Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and improving mechanical and fluid power systems. You’ll work closely with sales, production, and customers to translate technical requirements into robust, manufacturable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop hydraulic/pneumatic systems and components
• Produce detailed 2D/3D CAD models and technical drawings
• Support product development from concept through to production
• Conduct technical calculations, testing, and validation
• Liaise with suppliers and internal teams to ensure project delivery
• Provide technical support to customers and sales teams
• Ensure designs meet relevant industry standards and regulations

About You

• Experience in hydraulic, pneumatic, or fluid power systems ()
• Proficient in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar)
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Detail-oriented with a hands-on approach
