Job Description
Education Requirements:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree
Required Skills for the Design Engineer:
- Foundry Engineer experience (Tools Quotation, Casting Scrap defects analysis & resolution, Foundry process knowledge, no-bake process, cold box process)
- Foundry tooling design experience (Pattern and core boxes, Complex modeling, intuitive knowledge of P/L, offsets, clearances, layout in tool build, no-bake process, cold box process)
- Creo modeling and flow simulation analysis using SolidCast
- Strong CAD skills (Creo )
- Machining print reading and geometric tolerance understanding
- Casting simulation experiences (SolidCast )
Desired Technical Skills:
- CNC milling knowledge
Design Engineer Overview:
- Design foundry tooling in Creo software using standards in place and best practices for no-bake molding process with the objective to improve quality and reduce lead time on tooling construction
Responsibilities:
- RFQ tooling, Design New Pattern Tooling, resolve casting issues, Re-gate, Simulate, all other tasks as needed.
- Interact with managers on directions and priorities of workflow.
- Interact with Tool designers and Engineers for tool build, process flow.
- Interact with Pattern Makers for tool build direction.
